Dear Friend
Let’s revisit our Blog No. 17 and 18…
What are the key issues with how the Academia and the Industry are poised (or otherwise!) to leverage each other to set up and sustain the best Engineering Task Force (and not just Workforce!)?
(i) “Mutual” disconnect between “Disciples” (Industry folks who were at some point in one or more of the Engineering Institutes) and their “Gurus” (Academia)
(ii) The infrastructure spectrum, including the quality of the faculty, across the Engineering Institutes ranging from “opulent” to “destitute”
(iii) Engineering in general failing to offer the individual growth prospect to its pass outs and practitioners to banish all thoughts of “escape” (and more so in our country!)
What are the possible fixes? Let’s put down a few thoughts (knowing well that we need to think, share, and work together for “considerable” time…after all these issues require our best attention, don’t they?).
(i) We need to enable and facilitate sustained “socialization” between the Academia and the Industry.
(ii) We need to facilitate harnessing of the resources across the Engineering Institutes.
(iii) We need to create a far more vibrant Engineering Support Ecosystem (“infiDOF Ecosystem”) compellingly attracting the best and most of the opportunities available at any point of time.
How to make the above happen? Let’s discuss further…
Respectfully yours,
Team infiDOF
